Red Bull MOBILE (RBM) has announced that it is expanding its range of products, with the launch of prepaid and top-up voice packages, as well as prepaid and contract data offerings.  

Simon Camerer, Cell C’s executive head of marketing said that the new Red Bull MOBILE products are already available at Cell C stores countrywide. The RBM Prepaid starter pack retails at R4.95 and includes R10 airtime and 25 MB of data once-off.

“In addition, customers who want the stability and benefits of a contract with the freedom to choose upfront how much they want to spend each month can choose from two competitive top-up packages,” Camerer stated.

New top-up voice deals


The RBM Top-up 100 is available at R99 per month on a 24-month contract and includes a Nokia 5230 handset with a monthly allowance of R100 airtime, 100 MB  and 50 messages (either SMSs or MMSs).

RBM Top-up 150 at R149 per month for 24 months, offers R150 airtime, 50 messages and 150 MB of data per month, as well as a fully-customised Red Bull MOBILE branded RBM C Android smartphone.

New data deals

Red Bull MOBILE is also introducing two data offers, with Camerer explaining that through Red Bull’s partnership with Cell C, Red Bull MOBILE data customers get an enhanced content and internet experience at affordable prices. These are delivered via Cell C’s HSPA+network, with a customised Red Bull MOBILE USB Data Stick and Connection Manager Interface.

For R249 per month over a period of 24 months, customers can sign up for the RBM Online 3 GB data package which includes 3 GB  per month as well as a Red Bull MOBILE branded Huawei E367 USB Data Stick, which has a hardware capability of up to 21.6 Mbps. A once-off connection fee of R114 and out-of-bundle rate of 39c apply.

A prepaid data package is also on offer, the RBM Online 6 GB at R1499 once off, providing customers with 6 GB (averaging 512 MB per month), as well as a Huawei E367 USB Data Stick.  The data will be valid for a period of 12 months.

“Red Bull MOBILE now offers a full suite of products to suit each individual’s requirements and payment needs. Customers can experience their ticket to the World of Red Bull with a range of devices to boot” stated Camerer.

New mobile device

Camerer added that new products and devices will continue to be introduced under the Red Bull MOBILE banner.  “In addition to the new voice and data products, we have also introduced the LG Optimus Black P970 Android smartphone to the existing RBM 200 contract packages.”

Customers signing up for any of the Red Bull MOBILE products before 31 January 2012, will stand to win one of six double-sets of tickets to the first Formula 1 race of the 2012 season, taking place in Australia.
