How to Make an Infrared Camera
The only way to see IR light (with its wavelength of 750 nm to about 100 µm), is with an IR camera. Now you could go out and buy one, but you probably can’t afford one, and then I’d have nothing to write about. The alternative is to make your own. What we really want is a camera that is sensitive to Infrared light but not very sensitive to normal light. To achieve this you can take an ordinary webcam and remove the IR filter that prevents IR reaching the CMOS sensor. But you will also need an IR pass filter
