Effective immediately, Rectron will be distributing products such as the recently released Bitdefender 2018 range that comprises Bitdefender Total Security, Internet Security and Antivirus Plus.

Bitdefender will also form part of the distributor’s extended software services which includes Rectron ICT Cloud, a turnkey, hyper-converged cloud solution, and offered as a complimentary solution to the distributor’s extensive hardware portfolio.

Says Pablo Puig, Channel Director - Africa at Bitdefender: “Rectron is a leading ICT company that offers a large distribution footprint in Southern Africa. Their appointment will undoubtedly strengthen our efforts to aggressively grow Bitdefender in the region.  Plus, with Rectron’s noteworthy hardware offering, Bitdefender will be a strong complimentary product to the company’s channel partners.”

“In an increasingly interconnected world it is crucial that we offer security software that effectively protects valuable information.  With the Bitdefender consumer range, we are providing resellers with a security solution that is consistently rated top-in-class by research organisations,” says Elaine Wang, Cloud and Software Solutions Director at Rectron.

Bitdefender’s consumer line leads independent testing by security analysts; for the past six years, the company has dominated testing by the renowned AV-TEST, receiving awards for Best Performance and Best Protection, as well as top accolades from independent test lab AV Comparatives.
