2K Sports has announced Top Spin 4, the latest title in this popular tennis game series.
The game, which is being developed by 2K Czech, will sport redesigned controls, signature style animations, improved TV-style presentation elements and a large player roster boasting some of top modern day tennis stars as well as a few legends of the game.
One of these legends, Andre Agassi, will be available as a playable character for free to US gamers who pre-order and reserve the title (limited offer for PS3 and Xbox 360 copies) from GameStop.
“Top Spin 4 is shaping up to be the most realistic and exhilarating tennis game in the Top Spin franchise,” said Greg Thomas, president of product development for 2K Sports.
“For this iteration, the development team is focused on delivering a bold new take on the sport of tennis by allowing gamers to experience first-hand an uncanny level of realism in the player and stadium models, authentic audio captured directly from real tennis matches, and all-new innovative controls to dominate the competition.”
Top Spin 4 will be released in 2011 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, as well as the Nintendo Wii.
