Tech integration in education, essential not optio...In a shocking revelation, Engadget has identified that Google may have stolen the intellectual property behind its Android operating system logo.
According to the technology news website, a character from Gauntlet: The Third Encounter, a spin off franchise from the popular Gauntlet Atari console brand, looks incredibly similar to that of Google’s robotic mascot.
In the image displayed below one can clearly see that a character called ‘Android’ from Gauntlet: The Third Encounter looks almost exactly the same as today’s green Android character that we know so well.
Google has yet to comment on how this could have come about, although we expect the company’s designers may be to blame for pillaging the console archives in search of inspiration for its Android brand.
Nonetheless, Google is steaming ahead with Android and has quickly infiltrated the mobile world with its open source operating system. At present the platform is available on handsets from brands such as Samsung, HTC and Motorola.
