The first MeeGo conference will be taking place at the new Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland between 15-17 November.

Techies, Nokia and Intel fans as well as MeeGo developers will be congregating annually to discuss the state of Intel’s and Nokia’s Linux-based operating system and the latest developments around the platform.

According to Dawn Foster, community manager for MeeGo, the Call for Papers to be presented and discussed as well as the registration for the conference will be opening up soon. The organisers are calling for papers on a broad selection of topics such as hardware support for MeeGo, platform development and application development.

The first release notes, pics and video of MeeGo version 1.0.80.8 have also become available, allowing for the first glimpses of the OS’ user interface (UI).
