Nashua Mobile has introduced a credit protector insurance offering as a value-added service for its cellular contract subscribers, along with a new tablet insurance offering.

The firm’s credit protector insurance service covers contract customers in the event of death, permanent- or temporary disability and retrenchment. Should any of these unfortunate events occur, clients’ cellular contract expenses will be covered.

In the event of temporary disability or retrenchment, the policy offers cover for monthly contract expenses up to a maximum of six months. When it comes to death or permanent disability, the policy covers the balance of the contract up to the maximum for the policyholder is insured.

Pricing for this credit protector offer starts from as little as R5.50 per month and go up to R60 for protection against contract expenses of R3000. Premiums are based upon the individual’s subscription fee and are included on the cellphone contract account. This service is available for Nashua Mobile contract customers that are at least 18 years old and not older than 63.

Tablet insurance

The second offering from Nashua Mobile insures contract customers’ tablets against loss, theft or damage. Nashua Mobile will pay for the replacement of a client’s tablet or the repair cost in the event that it is accidentally damaged, lost or stolen.

Tablet insurance monthly premiums are based upon the replacement cost of the device and will be included on a customer’s cellphone account. Premiums start at R75 for up to R5000 of cover, and go all the way up to R165 for cover up to R12000.
