Canon camera owners in South Africa are set to benefit from the company’s newly announced additional service offerings. The offer includes a two-year warranty on all EOS, PowerShot, Ixus and LEGRIA products purchased after 1 January 2011, as well as  a free sensor cleaning service for all EOS users through Canon SA’s service partners, Camera Tek.

However, there are conditions that apply. For example, in order to claim a free sensor cleaning, users will have to provide their proof-of-purchase, and a maximum of one free EOS sensor clean per calendar month is allowed. Additionally, the offer is only open to cameras purchased in South Africa, where the camera has been originally distributed by Canon SA.

Camera Tek can be contacted on the helpline at 0800-212-250 or in Johannesburg at 011-251-2400, Cape Town at 021-552-2206 or Durban at 031-562-1363. Alternatively, Canon owners can visit their website at www.cameratek.co.za. Canon recently also announced a free training course to all entry-level EOS DSLR purchases (such as the Canon EOS 600D)

The latest announcement follows earlier news that, for the first time, the camera manufacturer would showcase its entire range of consumer and business solutions products at the Canon Expo. The expo, which will run for three days, will be held in Sandton during December 2011.
