After the success of the quite excellent E71, Nokia have just launch what seems to be another solid addition to their business orientated E-series.

The Nokia E75 debuted today at a function held in Rivonia.  Having seen far too many touch-screens recently it is nice to come across a phone working with a good old-fashioned keypad and keyboard. The E75 has a regular keypad on the front, but also a slide out QWERTY keypad tucked underneath. All this while maintaining a slim, and we must say, very stylish design.

Nokia partnered with IBM and Microsoft on the E75 to make setting up push email a breeze. All that is needed is a username and password to start receiving mail. From a brief touch and feel session with the E75 it does seem that replying to emails won’t be a problem, since the QWERTY keyboard works a charm.

As can be expected from a business phone Nokia included A-GPS, HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity. There are also a number of important business security extras. Although we did not get a chance to see these in action, the E75 has the ability to be remotely locked via SMS and includes encryption both for internal and external memory. It also features integrated mobile VPN to simplify accessing your company’s intranet. Those not willing to mix business with pleasure will appreciate the ability to set a business and private interface, for example to show your inbox during the day, but not after work.

If first impressions are anything to go by the E75’s old school non-touch-screen UI, ease of use email and its solid business sensibilities make for a very impressive business partner.
