The latest addition to the Nokia smartphone range, the N8, will be made available to MTN subscribers soon, the operator has announced. 

With the Nokia N8 is the Finnish manufacturer’s first handset to boast the updates Symbian S^3 platform and is intended to take Nokia smartphones into a new era. 
 
“The Nokia N8 is the ideal product for MTN’s loyal subscribers to maximise their experience on our network and lead the connected lifestyle,” says Serame Taukobong, Chief Marketing Officer at MTN South Africa.
 
The Nokia N8 features a 12 MP camera and 720p HD video support. This touchscreen mobile phone also has a 3.5 inch OLED display.
 
The Nokia N8 also comes with free lifetime Ovi Maps with voice-guided walk and drive navigation, guiding people to places and points of interest in more than 78 countries worldwide, including South Africa, and maps for a total of 180 countries. 
 
“We encourage our loyal subscribers to RICA their SIM cards” continued Taukobong “MTN subscribers can register for RICA at any Y’ello Store. Registration is free of charge and subscribers only have to bring their ID book and proof of residential address to complete the process.”
 
“We strive to present our customers with the latest and greatest technology and with the investment MTN has made in its network infrastructure, we can ensure that our smartphone users can maximise their voice and data experiences. Competitive voice and data prices for the Nokia N8 will be announced early November. Now that’s Ayoba!” concludes Taukobong.
