Opera Software today announced that Opera Mobile 10.1 beta is available in the Android Market to download for free.
 
According to the company Opera Mobile boasts faster page loading than other browsers and a highly fluid panning, scrolling and smooth zooming experience. It sports Speed Dial, which provides users with quick and easy access to their favourite websites, as well as a handy password manager. Opera Mobile will also ensure that there is a reduction in the data costs of users, as it provides up to 80% data compression with Opera Turbo.
 
Opera Mobile 10.1 Beta for Android also features simple tab management with visual tabs, synchronisation of users’ bookmarks across devices with Opera Link, geolocation support and the ability to be set as the default browser.
 
“Android users now have a better choice when it comes to using a browser on their mobile devices,” said Lars Boilesen, CEO of Opera Software. “With Opera’s new browser for Android, we give users the opportunity to access the Web, using the best tools available.”
 
The company has also recently released the alpha version of its Opera 11 PC web browser.
