What may soon become the world\'s most popular rhythm game, The Beatles: Rock Band, goes on sale today, worldwide. While it may be a little premature to speculate about the game\'s success, Beatlemania should not be underestimated, even in 2009. After all who doesn\'t want to pretend they\'re a Beatle.

The three most important aspects of the game are the songs, the venues and the instruments, as players will be treated to a full compliment of each. The game features 45 Beatles\' songs, some of which were previously unreleased. Tracking the bands career, players pick up a mic, guitar, bass or drumsticks and play their way through some of worlds best know songs.

In terms of venues, the game look sets to be as \"trippy\" as the Beatles\' career as players can perform at famed Beatles\' sites such as the Cavern Club and the Abbey Road Studio, but are later immersed in \"dreamscapes\" which are apparently fantasy settings based on interpretations of Beatles\' lyrics.

For more information on the game visit www.thebeatlesrockband.com. There is no word on local pricing as yet.
