Toshiba announced today that its NB200 “mini-notebook” is now available in South Africa.

While the device offers fairly standard specs for a netbook, Toshiba has gone for an “attention grabbing” design to entice consumers. It sports a matte finish complete with a textured design on its lid and display surrounds.

"Consumers value the design aspect more in smaller devices.  We took this into account and the new Toshiba mini NB200 represents an elegant design statement," says Reon Coetzee, Toshiba Computer Systems Sales Manager for SADC & ROA.

With a 10.1" display the notebook is thin-and-light at just 25 mm thick and 1.18 kg in weight. The device features a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Processor N270 or a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom Processor N280 with Intel 945GSE graphics chipset. It also has embedded WLAN and offers up to 160 GB in hard drive capacity.

The Toshiba NB200 is currently available in black and retails at a recommended R5999. Contact Mustek on 011 237 1000 for more information.
