Apple recently revealed that complications associated with the manufacturing process of its white iPhone 4 model have lead to a delay in its release.

In a statement Apple confirmed that “white models of Apple's new iPhone 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.”

This leaves iPhone users with just a single choice with regards to design and colour.

The device has been fraught with problems since its release several weeks ago. These generally reside around signal issues, which the company refused to admit to until recently.

As a result both Apple and its CEO Steve Jobs have been thrust into the limelight for the poor manner in which they handled the saga.

At present it is unsure of when the iPhone 4 will be released locally.
