The WH-5400CPE-ESD  is an all-in-one WiFi CPE device from AirLive.

If you don’t know what CPE stands for, don’t worry, neither did we. It simply means: Customer-premises Equipment. And a CPE can be anything along the lines of telephones, DSL modems, routers, that kind of thing.

The WH-5400CPE-ESD is an all-in-one device for outdoor wireless application that includes everything you need to make an outdoor wireless connection. The enclosure is made from weatherproof material and has an integrated 12-dB antenna that allows for wireless connectivity over a 3km area. This is ideal for large warehouses or office parks.

With the specially designed splash proof cap for use with POE/Ethernet Cable, the CPE uses a conventional outdoor grade STP cable. This will save you the unnecessary cost for special water-proof connectors. The CPE comes standard with a pole-mount kit, but you can get kits to mount it to a wall if you like. Get it for R2120 (incl VAT) from www.digitalplanet.co.za.

PROS
It has a 12 dBi antenna built-in and excellent weather protection.
CONS
It can be a bit of a hassle to setup.
