Intel describes their new Core i7 processor as “the best desktop processors on the planet”, and we are surely not going to disagree with this. There has been many x58 motherboards released for the i7, but the one that has been grabbing the headlines is DFI’s monster – the LanParty UT X58-T3eH8.

To say there are a lot of features on the motherboard is an understatement. The X58-T3eH8 supports both 3-Way SLI and ATI CrossFire X configurations, with the ability to mount three graphic cards simultaneously. You can only imagine what that can do to your 3D game rendering capabilities.

Cooling is helped along by nickel plated sintering heat pipes designed to help thermal conductivity, plus it features an external heat-pipe bracket that mounts the sink externally. You’ll also find six triple-channel memory DIMM slots, dual gigabit LAN connections, as well as eight-phase digital CPU voltage regulators.

If overclocking is your thing, and you have to be pretty damn serious about it with this unit, then the the UT X58-T3eH8 is the motherboard for you.

Available from PC Pro Shop on 012-348-4000 for R6100.
