LG’s Optimus G has hit local shores a bit late. But thanks to its premium feel in hand and decent specs it makes for a capable device worth considering.
PROS
Great display, despite only being 720p rather than full HD; smooth and fast performance courtesy of its CPU and RAM combo; decent level of software feature enhancements; really decent rear snapper; and feels a bit more premium in hand compared to other all-plastic rivals.
CONS
Heavier than a lot of its rivals; design does not allow it to stand out from the smartphone crowd; and lacks the brand appeal of the iPhone and Galaxy devices.
VERDICT
If you are not a brand snob and simply crave a snappy performing smartphone that feels as premium as it will set you back, than the Optimus G is well worth considering.
