In the second part of our feature of Willem Samuel’s Mengelmoes series, it’s time for our Matric protagonist to get his heart broken, or rather ripped out by the ever-so-sweet Monique du Toit.

In Mengelmoes #2 we’re also introduced to the Bush-Baby, an Apartheid era lab-creation that scours the suburbs of Cape Town, some butane sniffing that goes wrong (or right depending on which way you look at it), Die Hoer, Lord Kitchener, and if you can spot it, an iconic Roger Ballen photograph.

If you like what you see here, you can purchase the Mengelmoes series online at Readers Den Comic Shop. For more info on SA-born Samuel, head over to his website and also grab a look at Mengelmoes over here.
