In part two of our Canon Series interview with Anna-Belle Durrant who runs the blog She Said, we chat about her best places to shoot home and abroad, as well as a favourite personal photograph.

TS: What is your favourite place to photograph here in Mzansi? Also, is there a photographic destination that you would like to cross off your bucket list?

I really love shooting in and around my neighbourhood of Parkhurst, I think people often forget how beautiful it is, because it is not the typical Joburg city scape scenes. Having said that, Jeppestown is also gorgeous! I would kill to go to NYC and shoot that, my other dream destination was Tokyo but I was lucky enough to cross that off my list a few years ago!

TS: What is your favourite personal photo and why? Is there a particular story that makes it stand out?

I love a photo that I took of my husband a few months ago on a weekend away. The way the lighting, background and his pose all lined up exactly - it just speaks to me and I think it captured his personality and mannerisms perfectly.
