Much like in the world of shavers and blades, it seems like smartphones manufacturers are trying to see how many cameras they can cram into a device. LG is throwing caution to the wind, with rumours coming from Android Police pointing to a full five to be incorporated on the new V40. In our books LG's V-range have overtaken its G-series as the one to get, with the V40 apparently using two front facing cameras for a type of 3D face unlock.

The Huawei P20 Pro showed off a full three camera setup at the back, one that provides arguably of the best photography experiences on a smartphone yet. Android Police notes that the LG V40 could have not only the standard wide lens and the (great) ultrawide lens, but apparently another one. The purpose is not yet known, but our hopes are on an optical zoom lens as found on the iPhone X, which could make the V40 thé go-to camera smartphone.

Furthermore the V40 will feature a notch, it will be powered by the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845  and will feature a Google Assistant button on the side. As to when the LG V40 could be released, we should be looking at the end of September.
