Announcements of impending new IP titles, particularly those which have been successfully Kickstarted, are always welcome. The latest news is that Heart Forth, Alicia is wending its way to PS4 and its smaller brother, the PS Vita early next year.

The side scrolling platformer, which has been billed as being a Metroidvania RPG, apparently pays homage in its gameplay to Castlevania: Symphony of Night, along with the puzzle solving dungeons that the Zelda franchise is famous for. Add to this a darkish fantasy story about a young wizard who has to stop a spirit from consuming her home, twenty special attacks and upgrades and five secret fairy familiars to crush, shock, freeze, and burn foes, and this Kickstarter is looking most promising.

Take a look at the trailer below to see if this is one to watch out for.
