History fans take note - there’s a decent sale of titles over at Humble Bundle for the next two weeks. Mostly focusing on the USA, The Humble Book Bundle: History presented by The Associated Press offers DRM-free titles which should make for some good reading.

For the first bundle you get to pay as little as $1 for five books. Amongst them, one about the great Muhammad Ali, the Apollo 11 moon mission, plus two titles providing insight into John F. Kennedy’s death, including The Warren Report which was the official report on the assassination.

$8 opens up a great book on Bob Dylan, further perspective on Hurricane Katrina, and the great war time reporter Peter Arnett’s account of what happened in Saigon at the tail-end of the Vietnam War. It also includes Kathryn Johnson’s My Time with the Kings: A Reporter's Recollection of Martin, Coretta and the Civil Rights Movement, which pretty much sums what it’s about in the title.

If you want to go all out and put $15 on the table, you buy yourself access to six more titles, including Marijuana Nation about the legalisation of weed in the States, a biography of Dwight D. Eisenhower, what happened at Pearl Harbour, and more information on Putin’s opponents.

If Sci-Fi is more your thing, head over to Women of Sci-Fi and Fantasy presented by Open Road Media, where you can buy loads of titles in a similar fashion.
