Lego games are well known for subtly (and not so subtly) lampooning their source material, and Lego: Jurassic World looks like it will continue this fine tradition.

Already, the fact that Lego: Jurassic World will include the events from all four movies, was a major hook. Beyond the nostalgic opening music, and duplicating Dr Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern’s) expression when first viewing a real dinosaur to a tee, it looks like the game will be gently lampooning the ‘let’s bring dinosaurs back to life’ bright-spark idea of the original by throwing every conceivable dino into the mix.

Of course, there will be large and vicious apex predators, as well as tiny, newborn ones and flying dinosaurs, but why stop there when your game can also have goofy reptilians and those with particular gourmet predilections? Additionally, it solves the mystery of what was up with the ridiculously small arms on a T-Rex –it was to build its own Lego constructions.

Well, as the newest trailer aptly proves the developers have gone the whole hog and tossed every conceivable version into the mix; with more than twenty dino’s apparently in the offering when the game launches on the 12th June. In more good news, players who commit to their purchase ahead of time will be rewarded with the gift-with-purchase Toy Edition at Musica stores, which includes the Dr. Wu minifigure.

And finally, virtually no platform will be shivering with its pants down in the portable potty while a T-Rex rages outside, as Lego: Jurassic World is coming to PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and PC.
