Following its Spotlight showcase at E3 2017, where a number of new gaming titles were on display, Nintendo has shifted focus to more practical elements, as an update is being readied for rollout for the Switch.

Update 3.0.0 features a number of fixes and improvements to the Nintendo Switch menu system, such as changing the icon order in the Home menu, and adjusting volume from within the Quick Settings option. Other additions include an inverted colours and greyscale option for the display, but perhaps the most useful feature will be the ability to find lost JoyCon controllers that are within communication range by activating its vibrating function.

The update should be available for download in select regions this week, making its way to other countries in coming days.
