When games aren’t promising to fulfill our fantasies of going head to head with killer robots/cybernetic soldiers, then they are giving us the chance to play as much more benign robots in the mold of Wall-E who has to chart his escape from a maze-like facility.

This is the premise of the newly announced action-platformer Tinertia. Here’s the catch though, particularly for a platformer - the game doesn’t have a jump button.

Instead, your robot, oddly named Weldon, relies on a physics-based gameplay and a rocket, with infinite ammo, to build up momentum and thus propel himself from one platform to another.

The game looks, at least in concept, quite reminiscent of mobile game Cordy, which similarly had you guiding a small, cute robot through various platforming terrains.

The developers have also promised that the game, which will launch on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One later this year, will sport seven different environments and more than 70 different levels.

Take a look at the trailer below and see if this one piques your interest.
