With their no-show at MWC 2017, Samsung is focussing all its attention on 29 March, the date of the launch of the flagship Galaxy S8. Serial leaker Evan Blass has already unveiled much about the device, including its look and the supposed specs of the S8+, and now he has tweeted more about the colours and pricing of the new models.

According to Blass, the S8 should be available in black sky, orchid grey and arctic silver. If you’re in Europe, you look set to pay €799 for the S8, and €899 for the S8+. The cost in South Africa and a specific arrival date, are not yet known.

An Unpacked event will be held in New York on 29 March, which will see all the juicy details about Samsung’s latest emerge. A lot rides on the success of the S8, after the knock the company took in public confidence with the Galaxy Note 7’s battery fire problems, with the phone subsequently pulled from the market. With LG, Huawei and Sony having revealed their latest offerings, Samsung will be looking to pull out all the stops for their flagship device.
