Following a rumour that Samsung would be debuting their new phablet, the Galaxy Note 8, in August, a new report suggests the company will do so on 23 August. The date comes via The Bell, a Korean website which reportedly has sources close to the project confirming the announcement date.

While the South Korean manufacturer is yet to comment on when the Note 8 will be officially revealed, if it turned out to in fact be 23 August, it would a couple weeks later than they normally do for their signature phablet. The additional weeks may simply be a result of further testing before the device is brought to market, which is part of the reason why Samsung held off on the Galaxy S8, opting to forego an unveiling at MWC 17.

Another possible reason could be to steal a march on some of the manufacturers aiming to showcase their wares at IFA 2017, which takes place at the beginning of September. With more than a month to go until the rumoured announcement happens, we're sure more reports will be forthcoming for the Note 8.
