The Falcon flies in for Comic Con AfricaBy Staff Writer 24 August 2018 | Categories: news
After the disappointment that Aquaman won’t be swimming ashore at this year’s Comic Con Africa, it’s The Falcon to the rescue. Anthony Mackie will be appearing at Comic Con Africa in September, with The Falcon of course being a staple in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We first saw him swoop in in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. After that he made a number of appearances in Marvel movies, including Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Ant-Man and Avengers: Infinity War.
Mackie is also known for his roles in Oscar-winning films The Hurt Locker and Million Dollar Baby, as well as The Adjustment Bureau, 8 Mile, and Half Nelson. He was classically trained at the Juilliard School of Drama, and will soon be seen in the coming of age drama The Hate U Give and the second season of the Netflix series Altered Carbon.
Anthony is the next star to join the likes of Travis Fimmel, Jenny Frison, Ricky Whittle, Yetide Badaki, Kevin Sussman, Andy Diggle and Chris Sprouse, in the line-up for Comic Con Africa.
It’s set to be held from 14 – 16 September 2018 at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit & International Convention Centre, with Comic Con Africa to feature comic books, games, arts, movies and pop culture elements.
