When Apple debuted its new iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and Apple Watch Series 2, we were a little disheartened to find out that South Africa did not make the first or second cut for selected countries to receive the devices first. While we've licked our wounds since then, it will no doubt be pleasing for Apple fans to find out that all three devices will be available in the country from the iStore on 14 October. Along with detailing their local release date, the iStore has also revealed the different pricing each device will cost.

The recommended pricing for the various devices and models is as follows:

iPhone 7

32 GB - R12 999
128 GB - R14 999
256 GB - R16 999

iPhone 7 Plus
32 GB - R15 499
128 GB - R17 499
256 GB - R19 499

Apple Watch Series 2
38 mm Aluminium -  R6 899
38 mm Stainless Steel - R9 999
38 mm Ceramic - R22 999

42 mm Aluminium - R7 499
42 mm Stainless Steel - R10 999
42 mm Ceramic -  R23 999

As expected, the new iPhones and indeed the Apple Watch Series 2 are by no means cheap, but that has never proved an obstacle for Apple before. While the 128 GB iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will likely be good sellers based on their value proposition, the R20K-plus ceramic Apple Watches might be too pricey for local consumers. Nevertheless, 14 October will certainly be a hectic day at iStores nationwide.
