A new family of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Gigabit Ethernet switches are being introduced to help small-medium businesses (SMBs) adapt to modern communication systems and technology. These new switches address key SMB IT issues and priorities.

 According to a 2015 techaisle survey , the top 10 SMB business issues, IT priorities and IT challenges for 2015 include:

  • Mobility
  • Collaboration
  • Internet of things (IoT)
  • Converged infrastructure

 The new Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch6350 Switch family is a series of fixed configuration and managed Gigabit Ethernet switches available in 24 or 48 ports, with or without PoE/PoE+, to create the exact network for any small business. 

Business partners can offer SMBs a complete communication system combining IP networking, mobility and IP telephony solutions, when installed with OmniPCX Office Rich Communication Edition platform, IP telephones and phone apps, and OmniAccess Instant 802.11n or 802.11ac Access Points. When combined with OmniPCX Office, the OmniSwitch 6350 can be auto-configured to simplify installation and configuration, while adding access points only takes a few minutes. This delivers a lab tested and field proven, gigabit converged voice/data/Wi-Fi turn-key solution for SMBs, providing enterprise class network performance, at the value SMBs desire.
