Dell today unveiled its new thin-and-light business-centric notebook, the Vostro V130, a device designed to appeal to the needs of entrepreneurs on the move.

The Vostro V130 is the younger sibling of the Vostro V13 and is one of Dell's thinnest notebooks yet, measuring only 19.82 mm at its thickest point and weighing only 1.5 kg.

The device sports either an Intel Core i3 or i5 ULV processor option, a 13.3” HD WLED display and full-sized keyboard in addition to running Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system. Dell is also paying a lot of attention to supporting the device properly, with the Dell ProSupport and Accidental Damage Service as well as DellConnect 3 services offered to buyers, helping them in everything from coffee spills to system repair issues via 24/7 support.

The notebook also features an HDMI port for easy connection to high-definition devices, two USB 2.0 ports, a shared USB/eSATA port and a VGA port. Wireless connection is offered in the form of 802.11n wireless technology with optional Bluetooth 3.0 support available.

The 13” notebook has also been designed to meet expectations in the design department, with colour options such as Lucerne Red and Aberdeen Silver being available for purchase. Dell claims the Vostro V130 is also more than sturdy enough for road use, with an aluminium construction, reinforced zinc hinges and a magnesium alloy palm rest.

The company is also bragging with advanced new cooling technology, with the V130 featuring new Hyperbaric Cooling, an Intel Advanced Cooling Technology which helps the device stay both quiet and ice cold.

The new Dell Vostro V130 will be available worldwide but no local pricing details is available as of yet.
