Blizzard leaks five year road map?

First reported by MMOGameSite.com, it seems that a huge leak of Blizzard intel has made its way to the hungry hands of the internet. The leak is rumoured to be tied to the sudden resignation of Blizzard China's general manager, but this remains unconfirmed.

The leak, if it is true, reports that gamers can expect the eagerly awaited Diablo III as soon as next year. A title known as Starcraft Phoenix as well as a separate Starcraft II expansion pack (presumably Heart of the Swarm) will also be released in 2011.

Also contained in the leak is news of yet another World of Warcraft expansion in 2012 along with the World of Warcraft movie. In 2013 a second Starcraft II expansion (presumably Legacy of the Void), a Diablo 3 expansion, a fifth WoW expansion and a new project known as "Titan" will presumably be seeing the light of day. Finally, a second Diablo 3 expansion is possibly slated for 2014.

While the leaked road map hasn't been confirmed by Blizzard, there is widespread agreement that it may be legitimate given the fact that Blizzard China's general manager was fired right after the leak. If it is true, that is good news for us as it means we can expect some great new Blizzard titles as soon as next year.

Uncharted 3 officially announced

Sony Computer Entertainment has finally revealed the title that tons of PlayStation 3 gamers around the world have been waiting for - Uncharted 3.

Unveiled yesterday morning, the third chapter in developers Naughty Dog's Uncharted will be entitled Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.

Moving away from the tropical and occasionally snowy environments of the previous games, Uncharted 3 will be set in the Arabian desert. Nathan Drake is back of course and with his trusty companion Victor Sullivan have embarked on a new quest to find the fabled "Atlantis of the Sands."

The game will include bigger environments, even more spectacular graphics, co-op and online multiplayer and will be playable in full 3D. No release dates have been revealed as of yet, but the title is exclusive to the PlayStation 3.

Video games rake in record November sales

According to Cnet, the video games industry posted its best-ever November sales, riding on the back of strong titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops and Microsoft's Kinect peripheral.

Industry analysts, The NPD Group reported that the industry made a record $2.99 billion in November, up from $2.76 billion last year and about $30 million more than was recorded in 2008. Microsoft's Xbox 360 did especially well seeing a sales boost of 68% compared to last year, no doubt thanks to Kinect and the Slim. The group stated that 40% of all video game revenue in November was spent on Xbox 360 games and hardware.

Call of Duty: Black Ops has also become the seventh best selling game of all time, securing 8.7 million units sold worldwide less than a month after release.

A return to Oddworld

The Oddworld games from developers Oddworld Inhabitants are securely entrenched in a lot of gamers’ nostalgia glands as some of the best gaming experiences to ever grace the PC and original PlayStation.

While we unfortunately have no news regarding a new title from the studio, fans of the series can look forward to The Oddbox, a collection of Oddworld games which will be released on Steam during the 2010 Holiday Season. The pack will include Abe's Oddysee, Abe's Exoddus, Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath and gamers will be able to download the titles individually or in bundle form.

No release date has been announced yet, but expect it appearing on Steam in a week or two.

Deus Ex wows with amazing new trailer

The upcoming third title in the revered Deus Ex series have been teasing us with immaculately rendered snippets of CG trailers throughout the year. Now Eidos Montreal has finally revealed a complete five minute trailer for the upcoming game, and take our word for it, this is one of the best trailers you'll see this year.

The CG trailer includes snippets from previous teasers but is also packed with a bunch of never before seen material. No actual in-game action is featured, but it still makes for an amazing visual experience. The game will be out on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 early in 2011.
