Kingston Technology, has announced the launch of its first USB 3.0 flash drive, the Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0. 

 
The Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 USB flash drive takes advantage of faster transfer rates, allowing users of USB 3.0 compatible host systems to transfer data up to ten times faster than USB 2.0.
 
Kingston’s DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 is aimed at early adopters who want to take advantage of performance improvements offered by USB 3.0, with a read speed of 80MB/seconds, and a write speed of 60MB/seconds. It is available in 16, 32 and 64GB capacities. 
 
“USB 3.0 is the next major milestone in flash memory for USB products and the DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 is our first USB 3.0 flash drive offering in the marketplace,” says Steve Hall, EMEA product development manager of flash, Kingston Technology. “We have run several internal tests to demonstrate the speed of the new drives, for example a 3.9GB movie was transferred to the DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 drive in 1 minute 13 seconds.”
 
The Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 USB Flash drive is backed by a five-year warranty, 24/7 technical support and Kingston reliability.
