Thanks to Vodacom's new Prepaid All Day tariff plan, Vodacom subscribers are enjoying the lowest prepaid all-day rates available in South Africa. Since yesterday Vodacom prepaid customers are able to make calls at a low all day call rate of 2.8 cents per second, adding up to R1.68 per minute.

Any of Vodacom’s prepaid customers can switch to the Prepaid All Day tariff plan by either calling 1181, free from a Vodacom cellphone or dialling *111# free from their Vodacom cellphones and following the prompts.

Vodacom customers will be calling at the same rate for the duration of the day, meaning there’ll be no more peak and off-peak rates. Commenting on this Shameel Joosub, managing director of Vodacom South Africa, said: “By lowering the All Day Prepaid call rates our customers can pay less and talk more at any time of the day when calling Vodacom family and friends – they don’t have to wait for off-peak times to make that important call."
