And you cannot refill the cartridges - the printer is cheap, but ink costs will kill you. There is a cartridge range that is refillable - but not available in SA! It may print at the speed they say, but the warm up "preparing to print" is very noisy and takes ages. The scanner is also pretty slow and the software on the PC takes far too long to pop up if you want to change the print settings. The actual print quality is good, but if the printer is not used for a while - sometimes 1.5 days - the black ink is streaky and needs to be deep cleaned - which also gobbles up ink. I had a Canon before and I don't think I would buy another Lexmark in a hurry. |
