Oki ’s C5950n is a lightening fast, business printer. It offers SMEs the opportunity to do professional in-house printing without compromising quality. What it lacks in styling it makes up in performance. The design mantra screams ‘keep-it-simple’.

This Oki is not what you would call a stylish machine with a number of bulges prominent along its lengthy body. It does, however, boast a tidy front with a user friendly backlit LCD control panel.

The C5950 is a feature rich printer. It accommodates a range of OS platforms including Linux and Mac in addition to Windows. The advertised colour printing speed is 26ppm, but the printer didn’t live up to this averaging 16ppm. Don’t let this get you down though because the quality of its prints lives up to Oki ’s assertions, printing high-gloss images at 1200 x 600 dpi in near pure colour. When adding to the fold the printer’s networking capabilities this machine truly is a ‘paper glutton ’ SME ’s best friend. It’s RRP is R9690. www.printacom.co.za.

PROS
The C5950n offers some exceptional printing times and printing capacities.
CONS
The control panel a little basic. The LCD panel is tiny and the button layout cramped.
