Yes it does have the wow factor when its in your face. But I find the Firmware to be sloppy and crushes all the time. It cannot multitask before crushing four times or more per day.
The multimedia player sucks. Load an 8gb MiniSD card to it, it will not play a song without spending 5 minutes to 'buffer' the song and then takes 5 more minutes again to go skip a track.
It does not allow you to exit most of the programs, it only send them to a background that drains the battery fairly quickly and slow or even crush the phone.
I bought the phone about 2 weeks ago and I'm already regretting. My Nokia N95, and the ‘crappy’ Blackberry Storm (which I had just replaced) outplay the HD2 when it comes to stability, reliability and performance. Sure it does have the wow factor, but the firmware is crappy and does not do any justice to the Device’s hardware
