Perhaps taking a cue from the uniquely styled TVR sports cars from a decade ago, or Nokia candybar shaped smartphones before it, Casio it bringing its DW5600PM-1 watch to South Africa. Apart from being a retro-styled piece of wrist wear, the DW5600PM-1 features a unique polarising ink on its exterior that changes colour depending on how it's viewed. As such, these new watches look turquoise from one angle, purple in others and even black in the absence of direct sunlight.

Apart from featuring a unique paint job, the DW5600PM-1 is part of the Casio's G-Shock range, which means they can take a beating thanks to its rugged plastic frame and solid construction.

Not just tough looking, Casio says the DW5600PM-1 is up to the challenge, with up to 200 metre under waterproofness and shock resistance. Added to this is an EL Blacklight with afterglow for night use. Furthermore, the usual Casio range of watch functions are included, with a countdown timer, split second stopwatch and multi-function alarm modes all included.

For those looking to get their hands on a unique piece of wrist wear, the DW5600PM-1 is available around the R2 600 mark from local retailers.
