Last weekend, Bethesda rolled out its Update 2 for DOOM, bringing with a couple new modes and enhancements to gameplay. The developers also teased Unto the Evil, a multiplayer DLC that would allow gamers to take on the role of a Harvester demon. Now a trailer for Unto the Evil has seen the light of day, with the DLC available for download.

It's not simply a new playable demon character that this DLC is bringing to the fore. Accompanying it is three new maps: Offering, Cataclysm and Ritual. Also thrown in are new weapons, including the Kinetic Mine and UAC EMG Pistol. The former looks particularly good for gamers that like to lay traps for opponents, while the Pistol should provide precise shooting accuracy.

Also worth mentioning is the new batch of customisation options for your marine's armour, as well as a series of taunts to employ once a kill has been performed. Finally, Bethesda is also making this weekend a Double XP event for DOOM, lasting until 18:00 CAT on 9 August (12:00 ET for those in the States).

Watch what Unto the Evil has in store in the trailer below.
