Hot Wheels and Ferrari are back on the podium again. After more than a decade apart, Mattel has announced the return of a fan-favourite collaboration and has now unveiled the first nine products of a new Hot Wheels x Ferrari line.

Since Hot Wheels was founded in 1968, the two iconic brands have collaborated on 26 previous models, with several of these Ferrari castings becoming sought after by collectors.

The new release celebrates the Italian marque’s heritage and includes models spanning from the classic Ferrari F50 to the contemporary 499P Modificata endurance racer.

A Collector's Dream

Leading the launch is a boxed heritage set featuring two limited-edition die-cast models now available for pre-order via Mattel Creations. The set includes the Ferrari 312 P, which is a reimagining of the very first Ferrari Hot Wheels model from 1970, alongside the sleek Ferrari 499P Modificata, a nod to Ferrari’s modern-day Le Mans success.

Mattel notes each car is finished with Hot Wheels’ signature Spectraflame paint and intricate detailing, including Real Riders wheels on the Modificata and Neo-Classics Redline wheels on the 312 P.

Scale, Speed, and Style

Also new to the lineup is a 1:64 scale RC version of Ferrari’s hybrid hypercar, the SF90 Stradale Assetto Fiorano. Fully compatible with standard Hot Wheels track sets, the remote-controlled miniature offers full-function driving and the ability to perform stunts, including loops, which is a first for Hot Wheels RCs of this scale.

Among the wider product range, set to hit shelves from June 2025, are faithful reproductions of Ferrari’s most iconic vehicles:

  • Ferrari LaFerrari (Sept.): A hybrid supercar that set a new standard for performance.
  • Ferrari F50 (Nov.): The street-legal successor to Ferrari’s F1 technology.
  • Ferrari 250 GTO & Fiat 642 RN2 Transporter (Oct.): An homage to motorsport history.
  • Ferrari F40 Competizione (July): A rare and powerful Le Mans-ready variant.
  • Ferrari 365 GTB4 Competizione (Aug.): A lightweight endurance legend.
  • Ferrari SF90 Stradale (June): A road-going marvel of speed and design.

Mattel notes each model in the premium series is constructed with a full die-cast body and chassis, Real Riders wheels and is aimed at collectors and enthusiasts aged 3 and up.

Back on Track

“This collection was developed with all Hot Wheels fans in mind, from true Ferrari connoisseurs to budding automotive enthusiasts , thanks to the attention to detail by our design team,” said Roberto Stanichi, executive vice president of Hot Wheels.

Further product drops and announcements are expected throughout 2025 and beyond, as the partnership gains speed. All products will be available globally wherever Hot Wheels are sold.
