LG has a new smartphone on the way. The successor to the V10, it's aptly named the V20. The company has not detailed all the device's specifications, but has made a point of mentioning that it will sport Android's latest mobile operating system - Nougat (7.0).

This makes it one of the first few devices to do so, with LG noting a full device reveal in September. As such, the V20 will likely be one of the South Korean manufacturer's star attractions at IFA 2016 (2-7 September) this year.

As for what we could see on the V20, little is known. The predecessor featured an always-on display, which was later used on LG's flagship modular G5 (review). It was also rather large at 5.7" and was powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, which at the time placed the V10 in the flagship bracket.

Unfortunately, the device never made it so SA in any official capacity, but we're hoping that changes for the V20, especially as it will sport Android Nougat.
