When it comes to console controllers, Microsoft, like many other manufacturers, have opted for black. Luckily for those wishing to distinguish themselves from the crowd, the company has debuted two new colours for their Xbox One controller - Copper Shadow and Dust Shadow.

Xbox's resident blogger, Major Nelson wrote about the Special Edition design series controllers recently. While we have some reservations regarding the names, specifically the Dust Shadow controller, which fades from blue to black and does not resemble dust in the slightest, we must admit that both look great.

Apart from the colours, there is nothing else that stands out about these new controllers, features wise, as they come fitted with the standard equipment one normally receive, including an enhanced D-Pad and 3.5 mm headphone jack. If more features is what you're after, might we direct you towards the Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller (review).

The newly coloured controllers will retail for $70, hitting the US and a few more countries in North and South America later this month. They are set for a worldwide release in April, but it's unknown if South Africa has made the cut.
