If you know Adidas, you most probably have come in contact with its Boost technology. Set to provide added energy return when striking the ground, it had a major role in lifting the company’s reputation over the past few years. The Ultraboost 19 running shoe has now been launched locally and sees this neutral running shoe offering an Optimized Boost midsole, providing about 20% more Boost, according the Adidas.

Onboard too is a new Torsion Spring that helps with stabilisation and propelling the runner forward. A 3D Heel Frame keeps the heel in check, further helping stability while running.

As we’ve come to know from Adidas, and specifically the Boost range for runners, the company doesn’t let up in the looks department. Present is one-piece Primeknit 360 uppers for a comfy fit, with our favourite colourway being the Clear brown/Chalk white/Cloud white combo with the pink-orange lines on the Heel Frame.

Running shoes these days are not getting cheaper, with a pair of Adidas Ultraboost 19 setting you back just under R3k. These are already in stores if you want to hit the road over the weekend.
