"When was the last time you were in contact with your father?" This is the question posed to Jyn Erso in the second full length trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Erso, played by Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything) is the central figure in this prequel spin-off film, but her importance is more significant than simply trying to steal the plans to the Death Star. She's also looking for her father, Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelsen), who's forcibly enlisted by the Empire to build a weapon for them. 

Unfortunately, we only get to see Darth Vader appear from a plume of smoke this new trailer, never hearing the iconic voice of James Earl Jones. Hopefully though, when the film debuts in cinemas in December later this year, we'll get our quota.

There's also no indication of whether any Jedi will feature in Rogue One, but there are references to The Force, as well as ruined monuments to the knightly order. With two full months to go until it gets released, more info on Rogue One is likely forthcoming. Hit play on the trailer below and enjoy in the interim.
