The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has gone goldBy Ryan Noik 17 April 2015 | Categories: news
Expectation is clearly mounting for yet another heavy hitter role playing game still to come this year, and that, of course, is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The game that may just be pegged to steal the crown from Dragon Age: Inquisition (review), for the most ambitious role playing game in recent memory, has already gone gold, a month ahead of its scheduled release date.
The game has some weighty promises to live up to, being three years in the making and having already garnered more than 200 awards prior to its release. The dark fantasy title is not just estimated to cram up to a 100+ hours worth of gameplay in, there are also sixteen generous (read: free) pieces of DLC slated for the future as well.
“We worked so damn hard over the past three years to bring you this game,” commented Adam Badowski, Head of Studio, CD PROJEKT RED. “From the corrupt nobles in Novigrad to ancient monsters lurking in deep forests, to the bustling cities, colorful ports and breathtaking vistas; all the people, all the places -- we literally spent tens of thousands of hours to turn all that into an adventure that will kick your ass and make you want to come for more,” he enthused.
The game will be available from mid next month on the PS4 and Xbox One. Hit the trailer below to see what the fuss is all about.
