Canon, world leader in imaging solutions, has today announced the latest devices to join its popular i-SENSYS range of MFPs and printers; the i-SENSYS MF520, i-SENSYS MF420 and i-SENSYS LBP210 series. Designed with small businesses and work groups in mind, the compact devices support flexible working and offer personalisation of advanced workflows to ensure they produce consistent quality results at a lower cost to the business.

Packed with a host of intelligent features, Canon has boosted its mono print offering while also tackling three significant areas for its customers; security, productivity and control.

Putting security first

With security a top priority for businesses, the i-SENSYS LBP210, i-SENSYS MF420 and i-SENSYS MF520 series come equipped with a range of solutions for improving device authentication. From the built in Universal Login Manager to uniFLOW online cloud and uniFLOW on-premise server solutions, administrators can control access to the device, manage permissions and protect document security with Canon’s secure print functionality across multiple devices.

Equipping administrators with the tools to better manage permissions and monitor usage, the updated range protects document security via Canon’s secure printing features, reducing the chance of economic or reputational damage by any unwanted security breaches.

Boosting workplace productivity

The new i-SENSYS devices are designed to produce quality prints with every use, capable of printing up to 43 pages per minute.  Single pass, double-sided scanning and copying is also available within seconds. This helps to significantly streamline busy document workflows as well as reduce operation time so that businesses feel empowered to commit more resource to other key tasks.

Thanks to Canon’s built-in Mobile Portal which leverages a direct wireless connection without compromising on network security, users can print securely from tablets and smart phones. The devices allow for compatibility with existing software and technology platforms, including the Canon PRINT Business app, AirPrint and Mopria platforms to better support flexible working habits via on-the-go printing and scanning functionality.

Canon’s Genuine Cartridge and Auto Seal removal technology further minimises downtime, allowing for easier management and therefore ensuring the productivity and consistency that helps businesses to differentiate themselves from the competition.

Personalising and controlling workflows

Easy to install and ready to use in minutes, the new devices include a range of cost-effective features that further reduce the need for ongoing maintenance, as well as the total cost to print. This includes a 5-inch initiative colour touch-screen display and customisable Application Library which allows users to personalise their own workflows in one touch. Helping administrators to group jobs, scan-to-email and copy documents in a single move, the feature aims to make information sharing easier by eliminating inefficient processes and allowing for investment in other areas of the business.

James de Waal, Head of Marketing, B2B at Canon SA, comments: “The latest i-SENSYS devices further support the needs of small business environments, including the huge surge we are seeing in flexible working. Helping to provide solutions to our customers’ most pressing issues, these devices combine the print excellence and reliability that Canon is known for. Time and time again, we are proud to be able to provide our customers with the tools to support modern working practices – all without compromising on quality or cost.”
