As part of Microsoft’s 50th anniversary, the company is launching AI Skills Fest, a global initiative featuring a 24-hour AI learning event followed by 50 days of continuous learning, from 8 April to 28 May 2025. 

Africans will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in an official Guinness World Records attempt on 8 April 2025 for the most users to take an online multi-level AI lesson in 24 hours, as part of Global AI Learning Day.

Microsoft aims to inspire and empower learners to acquire new AI skills and advance their careers around the world and there is something for everyone, from tech gurus and AI newbies to business pros.

The AI Skills Fest is a 50-day learning drive offering participants access to free training sessions, covering both business and technical applications of AI. Participants can access live events, in-person training, self-paced lessons, hackathons, and more. It is designed to upskill individuals and organisations, driving AI transformation across industries.
