Michael Bay and The Expendables are not the only one who loves their action plentiful, explosions frequent and eye-candy/special effects unrelenting. So too does the new Just Cause 3 gameplay trailer, which brings plenty of all of the above.

For example, what could be more hardcore than skydiving with a rocket launcher on your back, or landing on a fighter jet mid flight and throwing the pilot out of his own cockpit? There is even the hero calmly walking away from an explosion, as the resulting fires rage behind him (admittedly, in this day and age, that’s almost as cheesy as a pizza from Debonaires).

The trailer though -  which incidentally is from gameplay footage – reveals a few features players can look forward to finding in the game. The first thing you will notice is that you will be able to hook onto the underside of moving vehicles (in this trailer, the underside of a helicopter) and have hands free to spray bullets.

Also making a return is the grapple gun, although it appears as though this time players will be able to connect multiple targets together – because who hasn’t wanted to tether a couple of cars to a helicopter and see what ensues? New to Just Cause 3 will be a wingsuit, which will enable players to effectively fly across the game’s open world.

Pre-ordering the game could grant players access to the weaponised vehicle pack. The game is slated for release later this year on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
