The rise of 3D technology in the entertainment sector today is moving at an accelerated pace, with 3D TVs, 3D gaming, and even a 3D handheld being released. One of the technology's chief concerns have of course always been 3D glasses, and that's why Toshiba has unveiled the Qosmio F750 3D, its first no-glasses 3D notebook.

As part of Toshiba's Qosmio family of performance notebooks, the F750 3D is also a powerful and good looking machine, which makes its 3D additions all the more enticing.

The F750 3D utilises a special lenticular 3D display to give users the freedom of enjoying the benefits of 3D entertainment without the hassles of wearing, charging or buying new 3D glasses.

The 15.6” display on the notebook also offers a full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) for clear images, and a 120 Hz refresh rate will eliminate any blurriness while gaming or watching action-packed films.

According to Toshiba their eye-tracking technology ensures that the, “3D effect works regardless of position”, and also allows 2D and 3D images to be viewed simultaneously. The notebook's integrated webcam also helps by tracking a users' eye movement and adjusting the 3D effects to match their eye positions.

The simultaneous viewing experience will apparently allow users to be able to view 2D content in a web browser for example, while playing 3D content in a media player alongside it. No reports on what the headache repercussions of this will be like.

As previously mentioned the notebook is also quite the powerful contender, both for multimedia, business and gaming use. The F750 3D features a Sandy Bridge Intel CoreTM i7 CPU, an Nvidia GeForce GT 540M GPU (with up to 2 GB RAM), 6 GB of DDR3 RAM as well as a 640 GB SATA hard drive and a Blu-ray drive.

In addition to this it features integrated Harman Kardon speakers as well as Dolby Advanced Audio optimisation so your audio experience can be just as eye-popping as your visual one.

The Qosmio F750 3D will even allow users to convert their existing 2D content into 3D utilising a complex algorithm, and the notebook can easily connect to a larger 3D TV via HDMI.

The Qosmio F750 3D is set to be available internationally from August 2011, with an RRP not yet available.
