Now that Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Spider-Man have dropped, the next big game on the near horizon is Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. And judging by the breadth of the post-launch content that has been revealed, gamers may as well kiss their free time goodbye for the rest of the year.

First, all players will have access to the story focused, episodic Lost Tales of Greece, along with daily and weekly in-game events. No less nifty, for those of us who are fans of Ancient Greece, the game will also include a Discovery Tour, whereby players will be able to traverse the entire interactive 3D recreation of Ancient Greece, free of conflict, time pressure or gameplay constraints. Short of hopping into a time machine, that may be the next best thing for those who just want to explore Ancient Greece and get a feel for what the time period may have looked like.

Also available to all players will be a New Game plus mode, and for those who still love Greek mythology (seriously, who does not?), players can apparently expect to meet up with a good  array of mythological monsters.

That, however is the tip of the iceberg compared to what the Season Pass is promising. For those who do so opt, the below will be included:

•             Story Arc 1 - Legacy of the First Blade: This episodic adventure will introduce players to the first hero to wield the iconic hidden blade, changing the course of history. Players will learn more about the backstory of the Assassins and why they choose to fight from the shadows. Starting December 2018, episodes will be released approximately six weeks apart.
•             Story Arc II - The Fate of Atlantis: In the second story arc, players will confront godly creatures and uncover the secrets of the legendary sunken city. As well, players will get even closer to Greek mythology and the First Civilization. Coming spring 2019, episodes will be released approximately six weeks apart.
•             Assassin’s Creed III Remastered: This follows Connor, a master assassin born amidst the beauty and the brutality of 18th century America, and having to contend with the American Revolution. The remastered version though will only become available in the new year (March 2019). On the upside, it will include all the DLC for the game, including The Benedict Arnold Missions, Hidden Secrets Pack and Tyranny of King George, along with Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is set to launch locally on the 5th of October for about R900 on the Xbox One and PS4.Talk a glance at the video below for more.
